NetID Eligibility
Description
This document describes how to establish eligibility for a NetID by becoming affiliated with CSU.
Applicable to
New, current, and former CSU Fort Collins and CSU Pueblo applicants, students, faculty, staff, and associates including lifelong learners.
Prerequisites
NetID Creation
A NetID is created automatically when:

Applicants submit an application for admission to CSU Fort Collins or CSU Pueblo.

Faculty, staff, and associates are hired and entered into the Human Resources system.

Lifelong learners complete the necessary forms on the Lifelong Learners page, contact their course instructor, and follow departmental procedures.
- HR Partners should use the Associate Job Family and Lifelong Learner Job Profile in Workday.
NetID Activation
Before you can activate your NetID, you must first:
- Be a CSU applicant, admitted student, or recently hired faculty, staff or associate.
- Be returning to CSU after a previous NetID expired.

Faculty and staff must have an active, primary assignment in the HR system.
- Your NetID needs to be in the Awaiting Activation Life Cycle state and not already active, expiring or expired.
How to Establish NetID Eligibility
You can establish or reestablish eligibility by:
If you have already reestablished your eligibility but the NetID system is not yet recognizing it, know that it can take time for staff to make data changes in their systems, and for automated processes to send the data to the NetID system.

Faculty, Staff, and Associates:
Finding Your Human Resources Partners
If your NetID has not expired,

Select Menu > My Account > Show My Information.

Scroll to the Employee Data section to see My HR Partners.

Look for lists of HR partners in your Department, College/Division, and Other.

Select an HR partner you have worked with or know, often in your department.

Hover over their name to display their email address.

Click their name to open an email message to them in your default email client.
To see the full list of your HR partners in Workday,

Log in to Workday with your NetID and password.

Click your Profile Firstname Lastname person icon or photo in the upper right. Click the View Profile button.
- Find the Job Details section. FindSupervisory Organization. Click the linked department name and supervisor.

Click the Roles tab. Scroll down to the HR Partner (Supervisory) role. View your HR Partner names in the Assigned To column.
