Description This article outlines the classroom technology support and training services available at CSU, as well as information on classroom technology upgrades, reporting issues, and the university’s classroom standards. Applicable to Fort Collins faculty Details Classroom Technology Support & Training In-room support and training for classroom technology (lectern control systems, projectors, document cameras, microphones, interactive displays) is available to all instructors teaching in General Assignment classrooms. Departmental Classroom Technology Upgrades Services include room design, cost estimates, and project management for classroom technology upgrades. These services are available to academic units planning upgrades to departmental classrooms. To request a quote for services, complete the Classroom Technology Upgrade Service & Quote Request form. How to use LARC 165 TV, speakers and video conferencing
Learn how to use the built-in computer, Logitech accessories, ceiling speakers, TVs, and Logitech Meet Up camera in LARC 165 at CSU Pueblo. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up video conferencing using Microsoft Teams via the web and managing camera, sound, and display functions correctly. Applicable to: Pueblo Affiliation: Students, Faculty, Staff Prerequisites You will use the built-in computer provided in the room — no personal laptop is needed. Log in using your CSU Pueblo C# and password. Audio must remain set to "Speaker/Headphones" and TV remote is not used for volume. Use Microsoft Teams via a web browser, not the desktop app. The Logitech Meet Up camera is used for video conferencing. Instructions Power on keyboard and mouse Turn on Logitech keyboard a. Slide the top right button to the right to show green instead of red to power on Turn on Logitech mouse a. Set up Nureva HDL systems – CSU-Pueblo
Title: Set up Nureva HDL systems This article explains how to physically install and digitally enroll the Nureva HDL310 and HDL410 systems into the Nureva Console cloud. Enrollment enables remote monitoring and management of the system for use in audio and video conferencing. Applicable to: Pueblo Affiliation: Staff Prerequisites HDL310 or HDL410 system must be unpacked A computer with internet access is required You must have physical access to the connect module to retrieve the enrollment code If no Nureva Console cloud account exists, one must be created first If the CSU-Pueblo network prevents device access, an external network or direct connection may be required Step 1: Locate and record the enrollment code Remove the connect module from the product box Turn over the module to find the enrollment code label on the bottom Locate the removable card attached to the top of the connect module packaging Write down the enrollment code and room name on the card for future reference This code is specific to the HDL310 or HDL410 and cannot be used with other Nureva systems Step 2: Install the HDL310 or HDL410 system Review the system's installation guide Follow all recommendations for placement and clearance of the microphone and speaker bar(s) Step 3: Connect a computer (optional for conferencing) Connect the provided USB cable to the USB-B port on the connect module Connect the other end to a USB-A port on your computer Disconnect the computer after use if no longer needed Step 4: Set up the system using the Nureva web app You can access the HDL310 or HDL410 system directly using the web-based Nureva app to complete device setup and configuration. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the connect module directly to your computer Open a supported web browser Go to http://169.254.254.254 Alternatively, locate the MAC address on the bottom of the connect module and use it to find the system’s IP address Once the Nureva app opens, click Set up device The app will guide you through: Device setup and enrollment Firmware updates If a firmware update is available, the button at the top left will appear white — click to begin the update If no update is available, the button will remain blue Audio setting adjustments 🔊 Note: Adaptive voice amplification must be turned on to use an external microphone, such as a wireless headset, to amplify the instructor’s voice in the room Zone setup for automatic camera switching To monitor and manage the system from the cloud, continue with setting up Nureva Console. 🔗 Note: Nureva Console requires a constant internet connection. Step 5: Connect the HDL system ⚠️ Note: If the HDL system is unable to connect on the CSU-Pueblo network during setup, use an external network (e.g., mobile hotspot or personal router) temporarily to complete enrollment. Connect the provided Ethernet cable to the RJ45-1 port on the connect module Run the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port on the microphone and speaker bar Connect a CAT5e Ethernet cable (not supplied) to the network port on the connect module Plug the CAT5e cable into a network connection (router, modem, or wall jack) Attach the power cord to the connect module and plug it into a power outlet or power bar Step 6: Create or access a Nureva Console account Visit console.nureva.com in a supported browser If you already have an account, sign in and skip to Step 8 If you do not have an account, follow these steps: Click Create an account Enter your email address, first and last name, and create a password Agree to the terms of use and select your email notification preferences Click Create account Check your email for a verification message (check junk or spam folders) Click Verify to complete account setup Step 7: Create an organization Log in to Nureva Console If prompted, enter an organization name Click Create to link the organization to your account Step 8: Enroll the HDL310 or HDL410 system From the Rooms dashboard, click Enroll Device Enter the enrollment code found on the bottom of the connect module Click Next Select Allow if a browser pop-up appears Enter room details: room name, type, capacity, and any tags Click Save The system will appear in your Nureva Console and can be managed remotely Step 9: Enroll an offline HDL system If the system is not online, you can still enter the enrollment code and complete the room setup Nureva Console will show the system as enrolling Once the system connects to the network, enrollment will automatically complete Step 10: Update firmware Nureva Console will display the firmware version of each enrolled device If an update is available, you’ll see: A yellow USB connection light on the connect module A yellow Update available message in the firmware column of the Rooms dashboard To update: Click the three dots in the Actions menu Select Update firmware Acknowledge the dialog confirming the device will be unavailable during the update Click Update to begin ⚠️ Do not disconnect the device or turn off the computer during the update When complete, the firmware version will be updated in Console Troubleshooting: Problems enrolling? If enrollment is not successful: Verify that the enrollment code matches your HDL310 or HDL410 — other codes will not work Confirm the system is not already enrolled in another account Check the status indicator lights on the connect module (front and back) for power and network issues You can view the code via the Nureva Console client: Click the device icon in the dashboard Expand Hardware and network to see the enrollment code ✅ Alternate setup method: Use the web-based Nureva app Connect the connect module directly to your computer with an Ethernet cable Open a browser and go to http://169.254.254.254 Click Set up device and follow the guided process 🛠 If the firmware update does not work through the web-based app or Nureva Console: Download and install the Nureva Console Client application Connect the control console to your computer using a USB cable Launch the Nureva Console Client and use it to complete the firmware update manually Outcome The Nureva HDL310 or HDL410 system will be successfully installed, updated, and enrolled for management via the Nureva Console. Configure your meeting software to use the correct devices: Microsoft Teams: Click the three-dot menu (More) and go to Settings > Devices. Select Nureva HDL310 for the microphone. Select Extron for the speaker. Select Aver CAM520 Pro3 under Camera. Zoom: Click the up arrow next to the Start Video icon and select Aver CAM520 Pro3. Click the up arrow next to the Mute icon and select Nureva HDL310 for the microphone. Click the up arrow next to the Mute icon again and select Extron for the speaker. Adjust the audio output volume using the Extron touch panel (not inside Zoom or Teams). Start or join your meeting as usual. Ensure the microphone is not obstructed by clothing or scarves. The lav microphone will automatically connect to the classroom’s sound system. The lav microphone amplifies your voice in the classroom for in-person attendees and sends your audio to remote attendees. Important: If you do not use the lav microphone, the Nureva HDL410 system will still capture your voice for remote attendees, but your voice will not be amplified inside the classroom. Adjusting the camera presets and brightness Use the Aver remote to control the camera. Zoom in by pressing Zoom + or zoom out by pressing Zoom – on the remote.
