Anthology Ally is a digital accessibility tool integrated into our Learning Management System (LMS) to provide insight into the accessibility levels of course content, which instructors can review and improve, and provides alternative formats to course content for students. In Spring 2026, Ally replaced the previous accessibility tool in Blackboard, YuJa Panorama.
Add Ally to a Blackboard Course
Ally has been enabled in all Blackboard courses and no further action is needed by instructors to make the tool available. Now that the tool is available in all courses, the accessibility scores of content are available to instructors and the alternative formats for content are available to all users.
Content Accessibility Scores in Ally
When viewing content in Blackboard that can by analyzed by Ally, instructors will see a dial icon next to content titles to indicate the accessibility score of that content that ranges from low to perfect.

Alternative Formats
While only instructors can see the accessibility scores of their course content, both students and instructors can see and access the available alternative formats of content in a Blackboard course by clicking the stylized A next to the content.
