Adding an M365 Exchange account to Mac Mail
How do I add my Microsoft 365 Exchange email account to the Apple Mail app on a Mac?

Prerequisites
- Your Mac must be running macOS 10.10 (Yosemite) or later.
- You must have your Microsoft 365 email address and password ready (netID@colostate.edu)
Instructions

Open the Mail app on your Mac.
- If this is your first time using Mail, the Welcome to Mail screen will appear automatically.
- If you’ve used Mail before, click Mail in the top menu and then select Add Account.

Select Microsoft Exchange as the account type, then click Continue.

Enter your Name, Email address (in the format netID@colostate.edu), and netID Password for your Microsoft 365 account, then click Sign In.

Choose which macOS apps you want to sync with your Exchange account.
- Options include Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, and Notes.

Click Done to finish setup.
Outcome
Once complete, your M365 Exchange account will be connected to Mac Mail. You’ll be able to send and receive emails and optionally sync your calendar, contacts, reminders, and notes with your Mac apps.
