Setting up a presentation and video conference in Microsoft Teams using a CSU Pueblo classroom computer
Learn how to log into a CSU-Pueblo classroom computer, access your presentation from multiple sources, set up a video conference using Microsoft Teams, and switch between your camera and shared content during your class or meeting.

Prerequisites
- Save your presentation file to both a USB drive and cloud storage (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive) to ensure backup access.
- Have your CSU Pueblo credentials (C Number and password) ready.
- Know your scheduled Microsoft Teams meeting time or be prepared to start one on demand.
Instructions
Logging into the Classroom Computer
Turn on the CSU-provided classroom computer.
Log in using your CSU NetID (C Number) — e.g., C12345678
.
Open a browser or any Microsoft 365 app (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams).

When prompted, sign in using your CSU credentials:
Username: Your CSU email address
(e.g., C12345678@colostate.edu
or firstname.lastname@colostate.edu
)
Password: Your CSU password
- You will also be prompted to complete DUO multi-factor authentication to verify your identity.
Using Microsoft 365 Applications
When launching Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, Outlook, or Teams, you must sign in using your CSU credentials:
Username: Your CSU email address
(e.g., C12345678@colostate.edu
or firstname.lastname@colostate.edu
)
Password: Your CSU password
You will also be prompted to complete DUO multi-factor authentication to verify your identity.
Accessing Your Presentation
From Cloud Storage:
Log in to your cloud account (e.g., OneDrive) and open the file.
From USB Drive:
Insert your USB drive and open the file using File Explorer.
Starting or Joining a Microsoft Teams Meeting
- Open Microsoft Teams from the desktop or browser.
- Click Join next to your scheduled meeting or start a new one using Meet now.
- Before entering the meeting, turn on your camera and microphone, if needed.
Sharing Your Presentation
- Once in the meeting, click the Share icon (upward arrow in a rectangle) on the top control bar.
- Choose what you want to share:

PowerPoint file: Click PowerPoint Live and select the file.

Entire screen: Click Screen and choose the appropriate screen.

Single app (e.g., PowerPoint): Click Window and select the app.
- If your content includes audio, toggle on Include computer sound before selecting.
Switching Between Camera and Presentation
- When using PowerPoint Live, your video thumbnail appears in the corner.
- To stop showing slides and return focus to your camera, click Stop presenting.
- To resume presenting, click Share and choose your content again.
- Use the Camera icon anytime during the meeting to toggle your video on or off.
Finishing Up
- Click Stop sharing to end the presentation.
- Sign out of Microsoft 365.
- Log off the Prof account to keep the system secure.
