Operating the audio/visual system in HPER 240 with the Professor Workstation Computer for video conferencing
Learn how to operate the audio/visual system in HPER 240, including powering on the AV equipment, logging in, configuring the Nureva HDL410 microphone system and Aver CAM520 Pro3 camera, using the lavaliere microphone for presentations, and adjusting camera presets and brightness for Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings using the provided classroom workstation. Note: audio output is controlled through the Extron touch panel.

Prerequisites
You must have a valid CSU Pueblo login.
Ensure Microsoft Teams or Zoom is installed or available via web browser.
Bring any files or media you need for your session in advance.
Turning on the system and logging in
Enter the HPER 240 classroom and locate the instructor workstation.
Press the power button on the touch panel to turn on the AV system.
Select the Lectern source on the touch panel.
Log in to the classroom computer using the Prof Account or your CSU Pueblo credentials.
Launching and configuring Microsoft Teams or Zoom
Launch either Microsoft Teams or Zoom, depending on your meeting needs.

Configure your meeting software to use the correct devices:
Microsoft Teams:
Click the three-dot menu (More) and go to Settings > Devices.
Select Nureva HDL410 for the microphone.
Select Extron for the speaker.
Select Aver CAM520 Pro3 under Camera.
- Zoom:
Click the up arrow next to the Start Video icon and select Aver CAM520 Pro3.
Click the up arrow next to the Mute icon and select Nureva HDL410 for the microphone.
Click the up arrow next to the Mute icon again and select Extron for the speaker.
Adjust the audio output volume using the Extron touch panel (not inside Zoom or Teams).
Start or join your meeting as usual.
Using the lavaliere microphone for lectures
Locate the lavaliere (clip-on) microphone stored at the instructor workstation.
Turn on the lav microphone by sliding the button on the top of the transmitter to the On position. A green light will turn on when powered.
Clip the microphone to your collar, positioned right under your chin as high up as possible, with the microphone facing upward for the best sound quality.
Ensure the microphone is not obstructed by clothing or scarves.
The lav microphone will automatically connect to the classroom’s sound system.
The lav microphone amplifies your voice in the classroom for in-person attendees and sends your audio to remote attendees.
Important: If you do not use the lav microphone, the Nureva HDL410 system will still capture your voice for remote attendees, but your voice will not be amplified inside the classroom.
Adjusting the camera presets and brightness
Use the Aver remote to control the camera.
Zoom in by pressing Zoom + or zoom out by pressing Zoom – on the remote.

Move the camera to a saved preset:
Press the Preset button.
Then press a preset position button (0–5) to move the camera to the corresponding saved position.

Preset 1 – Front wide shot
Preset 2 – Professor workstation
Preset 3 – Projector
Preset 4 – Whiteboard

Once configured, the Aver CAM520 Pro3 camera, Nureva HDL410 microphone, Extron audio system, lavaliere microphone, and AV system in HPER 240 will provide reliable audio and video support for Microsoft Teams or Zoom sessions using the provided classroom workstation computer. Audio output volume adjustments are handled through the Extron touch panel.
