Set up Nureva HDL systems – CSU-Pueblo
Title: Set up Nureva HDL systems
This article explains how to physically install and digitally enroll the Nureva HDL310 and HDL410 systems into the Nureva Console cloud. Enrollment enables remote monitoring and management of the system for use in audio and video conferencing.
Applicable to: Pueblo
Affiliation: Staff
Prerequisites
HDL310 or HDL410 system must be unpacked
A computer with internet access is required
You must have physical access to the connect module to retrieve the enrollment code
If no Nureva Console cloud account exists, one must be created first
If the CSU-Pueblo network prevents device access, an external network or direct connection may be required
Step 1: Locate and record the enrollment code
Remove the connect module from the product box
Turn over the module to find the enrollment code label on the bottom
Locate the removable card attached to the top of the connect module packaging
Write down the enrollment code and room name on the card for future reference
This code is specific to the HDL310 or HDL410 and cannot be used with other Nureva systems
Step 2: Install the HDL310 or HDL410 system
Step 3: Connect a computer (optional for conferencing)
Connect the provided USB cable to the USB-B port on the connect module
Connect the other end to a USB-A port on your computer
Disconnect the computer after use if no longer needed
Step 4: Set up the system using the Nureva web app
You can access the HDL310 or HDL410 system directly using the web-based Nureva app to complete device setup and configuration.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the connect module directly to your computer
Open a supported web browser
-
Go to http://169.254.254.254
Once the Nureva app opens, click Set up device
The app will guide you through:
Device setup and enrollment
-
Firmware updates
If a firmware update is available, the button at the top left will appear white — click to begin the update
If no update is available, the button will remain blue
-
Audio setting adjustments
Zone setup for automatic camera switching
To monitor and manage the system from the cloud, continue with setting up Nureva Console.
🔗 Note: Nureva Console requires a constant internet connection.
Step 5: Connect the HDL system
⚠️ Note: If the HDL system is unable to connect on the CSU-Pueblo network during setup, use an external network (e.g., mobile hotspot or personal router) temporarily to complete enrollment.
Connect the provided Ethernet cable to the RJ45-1 port on the connect module
Run the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port on the microphone and speaker bar
Connect a CAT5e Ethernet cable (not supplied) to the network port on the connect module
Plug the CAT5e cable into a network connection (router, modem, or wall jack)
Attach the power cord to the connect module and plug it into a power outlet or power bar
Step 6: Create or access a Nureva Console account
Visit console.nureva.com in a supported browser
If you already have an account, sign in and skip to Step 8
-
If you do not have an account, follow these steps:
Click Create an account
Enter your email address, first and last name, and create a password
Agree to the terms of use and select your email notification preferences
Click Create account
Check your email for a verification message (check junk or spam folders)
Click Verify to complete account setup
Step 7: Create an organization
Step 8: Enroll the HDL310 or HDL410 system
From the Rooms dashboard, click Enroll Device
Enter the enrollment code found on the bottom of the connect module
Click Next
Select Allow if a browser pop-up appears
Enter room details: room name, type, capacity, and any tags
Click Save
The system will appear in your Nureva Console and can be managed remotely
Step 9: Enroll an offline HDL system
If the system is not online, you can still enter the enrollment code and complete the room setup
Nureva Console will show the system as enrolling
Once the system connects to the network, enrollment will automatically complete
Step 10: Update firmware
Nureva Console will display the firmware version of each enrolled device
-
If an update is available, you’ll see:
-
To update:
Click the three dots in the Actions menu
Select Update firmware
Acknowledge the dialog confirming the device will be unavailable during the update
Click Update to begin
⚠️ Do not disconnect the device or turn off the computer during the update
When complete, the firmware version will be updated in Console
Troubleshooting: Problems enrolling?
If enrollment is not successful:
Verify that the enrollment code matches your HDL310 or HDL410 — other codes will not work
Confirm the system is not already enrolled in another account
Check the status indicator lights on the connect module (front and back) for power and network issues
-
You can view the code via the Nureva Console client:
-
✅ Alternate setup method:
Use the web-based Nureva app
Connect the connect module directly to your computer with an Ethernet cable
Open a browser and go to http://169.254.254.254
Click Set up device and follow the guided process
-
🛠 If the firmware update does not work through the web-based app or Nureva Console:
Download and install the Nureva Console Client application
Connect the control console to your computer using a USB cable
Launch the Nureva Console Client and use it to complete the firmware update manually
Outcome
The Nureva HDL310 or HDL410 system will be successfully installed, updated, and enrolled for management via the Nureva Console. You’ll have access to remote diagnostics, audio settings, firmware control, and system monitoring.
