GlobalProtect for ChromeOS opens an "Access Denied" web page

Symptoms
Use this article if attempting to connect to GlobalProtect causes Chrome to open a new tab that reads "Access Denied".
Resolution
- Open the Settings application, navigate to the Apps section and click the "Manage your apps" button.
- Click GlobalProtect in the apps list.
- In the "Supported links" section, make sure that it is set to "Open in GlobalProtect" rather than "Open in Chrome".
