Installing GlobalProtect for Windows
This article covers installing the GlobalProtect client on Windows devices. Please install a version of GlobalProtect provided by CSU; the version of GlobalProtect found on the Microsoft Store may be unable to connect to gateway.colostate.edu or pueblogateway.colostate.edu
- Use your web browser to connect to the GlobalProtect web portal. Doing so requires Duo authentication.
- Click the "Download the GlobalProtect Agent" button in the upper right corner.
- Under "CSU - GlobalProtect Client Software Downloads" in the new tab, click the download link appropriate for your version of Windows.
- If your Windows device has a 64-bit processor, click "Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent". This is the most common version of Windows.

If your Windows device has a 32-bit processor, click "Download Windows 32 bit GlobalProtect agent". This version is common on older devices.
- If your Windows device has an ARM processor, please submit a help request asking for the GlobalProtect ARM installer. This is common on Surface and other tablet devices.
- To determine your device's processor type, open "About your PC" and check the "System type".
- Open the installer once it has finished downloading, and proceed through the installation.
- Once GlobalProtect has finished installing, you can open it from the Start menu.
- Enter gateway.colostate.edu or pueblogateway.colostate.edu as the Gateway Address and click the Connect button.
- Before the GlobalProtect client can finish connecting, you will need to authenticate with Duo.
- When GlobalProtect says "Connected", you may now use the VPN.
