Installing GlobalProtect for Windows
This article covers installing the GlobalProtect client on Windows devices. Before installing the GlobalProtect client, please make sure that your device meets CSU's Minimum Technology Standards. Please install a version of the GlobalProtect client provided by CSU; the version of GlobalProtect found on the Microsoft Store may be unable to connect to gateway.colostate.edu or pueblogateway.colostate.edu.
- Use your web browser to connect to the GlobalProtect web portal downloads page.
- Click the download link appropriate for your version of Windows.
- If your Windows device has a 64-bit processor, click "Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent". This is the most common version of Windows.

If your Windows device has a 32-bit processor, click "Download Windows 32 bit GlobalProtect agent". This version is common on older devices.
- If your Windows device has an ARM processor, please submit a help request asking for the GlobalProtect ARM installer. This is common on Surface and other tablet devices.
- To determine your device's processor type, open "About your PC" and check the "System type".
- Open the installer once it has finished downloading, and proceed through the installation.
- Once GlobalProtect has finished installing, you can open it from the Start menu.
- Enter gateway.colostate.edu or pueblogateway.colostate.edu as the Gateway Address and click the Connect button.
- Before the GlobalProtect client can finish connecting, you will need to authenticate with Duo.
- When GlobalProtect says "Connected", you may now use the VPN.
