Apporto Tool Access in Blackboard (Students)

The following support article provides instructions on how students can connect to the Apporto Virtual Desktop via a course in their Blackboard account to access applications or software requested by an instructor.

Access the Blackboard Course

First, log in to Blackboard and access the course that your instructor has enabled Apporto in.

NOTE: Your Blackboard username will be your NetID and your Blackboard password will be your NetID password.

Access the Apporto Virtual Lab

Second, once you have opened the Blackboard course that your instructor has enabled Apporto in, find the Virtual Applications link in the left-hand course menu. After clicking that link, complete the following instructions:

Click either the Access CSU Pueblo Apporto Virtual Apps or the Launch CSU Pueblo Apporto to open Apporto
Apporto may take a moment to load, but eventually you should see two options to select to open the virtual desktop
Click on the Launch button for either the GPU Desktop or the Windows Desktop
- Each option has different applications installed, so check with your instructor for which link you should be using

When you are done using Apporto, make sure you save the file in the application you are using and close it. Then, to close Apporto, simply close the tab to disconnect the session.

Troubleshooting Apporto

WiFi Connection

Apporto requires a strong Wifi connection to prevent slowness or disconnections from occurring. If you experience glitches or slowness in Apporto, please ensure that you are connected to WiFi and that the signal is strong.

"User profile failed to attach" Error Message

If you receive the "User profile failed to attach" error message when opening Apporto, please submit an IT support ticket. This is an occasional issue that occurs and requires support from Apporto to fix quickly.
