3D Printing Compatibility Guide

Check dimensions – prints can be resized if needed:

  • 8” x 8” x 9.5” for Ender-3 (standard),
  • 11.5” x 11.5” x 15.5” for CR-10 (large format – meeting required)

Avoid excessively tall and thin structures:

The circled areas are likely unprintable. The other frame pieces

may also be challenging, especially if scaled down.

Ensure sufficient contact with build plate can be achieved, to keep print adhered:

  • Support material may be used if needed

Ultimaker Cura uses a color code to indicate contact and overhangs:

Blue = below build plate, Cyan = touching build plate, Red = overhang.

Avoid excessive overhangs to reduce the need for support material:

  • This will help you get the most out of your material budget and minimize "scarring" from support removal.
